BROCKTON VA MEDICAL CENTER
3D Printing Technician and Intern
Working with the VA introduced me to a very independent working environment. Once my training was completed I was in complete control of the 3D printing lab I was designated to. Day to day I would have to schedule my own time in order to complete a variety of tasks in order to maintain production of the nasal swabs we were creating for the testing of COVID-19.Â
-
-Each day I carried out the same, precise tasks of printing, washing, curing, and quality control checking multiple batches of swabs.
-Throughout my time working I manages multiple side projects where I designed and tested new tools to aid in the process of swab manufacturing.
- I was also in charge of keeping contact with our representative working for the company that designed our 3D printers and resins, working out design ideas with them and placing weekly orders for more resin.
JOHNSON ROBERTS ASSOCIATES INC.
Intern
At Johnson Roberts Associates I preformed a variety of tasks in the form of computer based design and hand assembly. During this internship I was assigned multiple projects to aid in the completion of ongoing company wide jobs. In my time at Johnson Roberts I gained my first experience of working with an architecture firm and had the opportunity to explore many different aspects of a project in various stages. This co-op introduced me to a new BIM program and helped me improve my professional skills as well.
-
-I worked on creating various options of floor pattern and wall paneling designs
-In the wood shop attached to the offices I created paneling models for the principles to present to clients
-I made very early drafts of a town hall remodel the company had just begun, with multiple options for the clients to view
